Who benefits? NAMI Clackamas’ Open Minds Art Studio and Creative Connections are weekly art groups for adults affected by mental health issues. The groups are open to anyone 18 and older that suffers from mental health conditions, or has family members or loved ones that suffer from mental health conditions, and provides them an opportunity to socialize and create art together in a casual, relaxed environment.  Most of our participants are adults who cannot afford to pay for art supplies, art classes, or admissions-based art opportunities, so being able to provide the art supplies that most don't have and cannot afford will allow us to continue coming together, creating art, and supporting each other’s mental health recovery journeys.
